Director -Supply & Services- Postion is in Afghanistan
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs and leads subordinates on the day-to-day operations and ensures daily assignments are carried out in a responsive and timely manner.
- Assists in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and training plans.
- Coordinates Supply & Services activities required by the PWS, and acts as the focal point for the Supply & Services Managers N/E and S/W in support of those requirements.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the Supply & Services Directorate to include oversight and efficient management of all aspects of purchasing, production planning and scheduling, inventory control & accountability, property management, warehousing, and shipping and receiving.
- Designs and executes strategies and plans to meet short-term and long-term supply chain management and production control requirements.
- Enforces company and project standards of performance and discipline.
- Instills a safety-first mentality that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
- Supports the quality control program by monitoring and reporting on compliance with POPs, SOPs, program/project directives, and work instructions; performance metrics; and customer feedback.
- Ensures proper division of workload between activities and sites.
- Ensures the efficient and productive utilization of resources.
- Accomplishes all contractual requirements within the allocated operating budget and manages that budget by CLIN and cost code.
- Prepares and submits CDRLs in accordance with published standards and schedule.
- Minimizes program exposure to risk through planning and analysis.
- Ensures program/project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Enforces the highest of ethical standards and conduct IAW company policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- a) Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply management or similar curriculum preferred.
- b) Master’s degree in related discipline preferred.
Experience:
- a) 10 years experience in supply or logistics required.
- b) 5 years experience in a supervisory position required.
- c) Experience in a senior military logistics position preferred.
- d) Experience in planning and coordinating operations, warehouse operations, and development and management of the Army/Military supply system (SAMS-E, SAARS, AWRDS) required.
Specialized knowledge and skills:
- a) Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor.
- b) Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance prior to start date.
- c) Must have excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation and have intermediate math skills.
- d) Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees.
- e) Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
- f) Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- g) Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
- h) Must be able to identify conflicts of interest as they relate to employment situations.
- i) Must have high-level organizational and planning skills.
- j) Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and other related applications.
- k) Driver’s license required.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $189,000.00 /year
