Technician Sr Spec - Lockheed Martin - Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

This position is contingent upon contract award expected in early 2016.

This position is identified as Strategic Review – Aligned to IS & GS.

Position is located in Afghanistan: Electronic Technician, Senior is responsible for performing maintenance and sustainment activities for the Primary Mission Equipment (PME) and Mission Equipment Packages (MEP), and Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) systems and subsystems. The primary focus of this position will be to maintain system Operational Availability and ensure that information can be collected in the field utilizing the appropriate sensors. This position performs daily inspections and troubleshooting/maintenance of systems.

‘Sample Description of Work Performed: Testing of electorinic quipment, testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystems in systems, including but not limited to fixed and rotary wing aircraft. EMC/EMF includes preparation of test plans and reports an developing effective solutions to EMC/EMF and TEMPEST problems.

Basic Qualifications Education Level: AA or 2 year technical school.

Minimum Years of Experience: Eight years total experience with the testing of electronic equipment of which five (5) years shall be experience in the testing and trouble shooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems.

Substitutions: May substitute eight (8) years of other electronic system experience if it relates to the support being required by task order.’

NACI required prior to deployment and within 30 days of start date.

Valid passport for at least 3 years.

Ability to read, write and speak English

Familiarly with basic computer skills

Must be able to meet CENTCOM CRC medical minimum standards

Must be able to meet deployment training minimum standards

Must be able to work with customers and subcontractors in a professional manner

Desired skills Ability to multi-task in a complex and austere environment

Experience as part of an overseas military contingency deployment or in Afghanistan

Degree in (Preferred): Computer Science or other Scientific Technical Discipline
