PAE is currently seeking an Automation Specialist III – EUROCAT-C Air Traffic Management System Specialist to support our NAMSA program in our Kandahar Afghanistan Location. The Automation Specialist III – EUROCAT-C Air Traffic Management System Specialist will: – Use specialized software controlled diagnostics (as/if required) to isolate automation system malfunctions and correct diagnosed issues – Maintain inspection and maintenance records – Maintain Facilities Status Records – Independently verify operational condition of the ATC automation system and integrated components to be within prescribed parameters in accordance with applicable Technical Order/Manual or other supporting documentation – Interfacing with the ATC Facility staff and controllers to coordinate effective system utilization. – Must have knowledge of Linux, computer architectures, and peripherals to maintain the EUROCAT-C system.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of formal Air Traffic Control (ATC) training; such as the FAA Academy, DoD ATC Training schools, or other certified ATC programs/schools; and, subsequent completion of an ATC automation system course of instruction. – FAA, Government and/or DoD certification as an Air Traffic Control (ATC) specialist – Minimum of nine (9) years of “hands on” work experience, including achievement of advanced ratings, in providing air traffic control services; as well as having provided services involving training, monitoring and assisting lower level air traffic controllers – Must have the technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of maintaining and updating ATC automation systems – Minimum of two (2) years hands-on Air Traffic Control (ATC) automation system specialist experience maintaining systems such as DAS, MicroEARTS, STARS, or EUROCAT-C air traffic management system components – NATO secret security clearance required – The appropriately qualified automation specialist/expert will receive specific EUROCAT-C automation training.
