Responsibilities:
The Logistics Assistant is responsible to the Logistic Supervisor for the operational oversight and management of the Logistics Department. DUTIES: – Aids in evaluating and establishing logistics support analysis and activities related to moving personnel and operations into the International Zone in Kabul. – Develop detailed schedules and timelines for daily tasks with close coordination of program leadership. – Identify risks and present mitigation plans to the DPM for review and decision making. – Assists in planning, coordinating and scheduling retrofit actions – Daily oversight of subcontractors to ensure strict timelines are adhered to without jeopardizing quality of infrastructure updates and renovations. – Experienced and knowledgeable in the acquisition logistics and systems acquisition processes – Utilizes experience and knowledge to ensure logistics support requirements are designed into acquisition programs by separately or collectively working issues involving the logistics elements – Assists in reviewing and evaluating Government Furnished Equipment/Property (GFE/P) requirements that are proposed by the prime contractor or by potential bidders in the RFP process – Maintains accountability records and databases for GFE/P employed in developmental and production contracts and assists in disposal of GFE/P – Assists in research, acquisition and tracking of GFE/P during all phases of the program life cycle – Provides advice and assistance in preparing TO inputs to the RFP/contract – Supports the PMO Team at the warehouse desk by maintaining and updating a centralized work order database, identifying and tracking facility and custodial discrepancies, and advises and assists in discrepancy resolution – Reviews and tracks logistics milestones, drafts briefings, reviews logistics CDRL deliverables for accuracy; researches transportation data on Global Transportation network – Collaborates with depot on surveillance plans, life cycle analysis initiatives, support validations and verifications and reliability asset monitoring systems – Advises and assists technical writers/editors to write Government-developed technical orders – Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Specific Qualification Requirements: – Five (5) or more year’s related experience in an administrative environment required. Education: – BS/BA in Business, Communications, or related field. Clearance Requirement: – Active Clearance or MRPT Other requirements: – Valid Driver’s License and US passport will be required. – Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance. – Excellent oral and written communication skills. – Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word). – Proficiency in MS Project preferred. – High level of confidentiality and ethics. – Ability to interact with all levels of Government required. – Must have strong organization and excellent customer relations skills. – Detail and multi-task oriented and ability to work independently. – Able to lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds. – Ability to handle pressure and work in highly visible area. – Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
