Materials Control Specialist, Senior
Job Description Provides specialized technical and administrative services within the CIF. Supports operating a CIF with Direct Exchange (DX) service for designated OCIE. Assists management in ensuring project compliance with requirements contained in the LOGCAP IV contract. Assists in establishing, maintaining, and conducting processes for receipt, storage, and issue quantities utilizing the Army Information Management System (AIMS) for all CIF items.
Supports management in administering CIF Control Practices/Systems and related operations for LOGCAP IV Projects. Assists in preparing and submitting all required reports accurately and in a timely manner including but not limited to physical verification of CIF inventories. Performs related administrative and other support functions as assigned.
Coordinates material requirements and delivery schedules with functional and project management; communicates status updates and change requests as required. Reviews work schedules, inventory levels, material requisitions and delivery status to ensure necessary supplies of material and supplies at supported locations when needed. Requisitions material and establishes sequential deliver dates, according to priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to specifications.
Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements – High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and seven (7) years related experience required.
Other Job Requirements -Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications – Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred
