CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Senior Network Engineer (SNE). This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization OCONUS in Afghanistan.

The SNE will be responsible for engineering, installing and troubleshooting data and telecommunications network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will require strong interpersonal skills due to continual interaction with managers, clients, and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast paced work environment. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Network Team Lead.

Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for leading a team of network engineers, network administrators and voice engineers in support of a geographically dispersed regional network. The SNE will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all networks, consisting of primarily Cisco routers and switches, with support for other vendor (i.e. Juniper, Nortel, Siemens, etc.) products. This team will be responsible for maintaining all layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing. The SNE will be involved with the design of complex routing and switching schemes to support Control Cryptographic HAIPE devices. Additionally, the SNE will perform site surveys, configuration and engineering, installation planning and documentation services for the customer as they relate to network services. They will be responsible for analyzing network protocols, routing standards and procedures, traffic patterns and data flow, and providing equipment implementation and upgrade recommendations. As well as provide project support services for infrastructure, ADP systems, and Network/Server Support Facility enhancement.

Requirements:


-ITIL v3 Foundation Certification


-CISSP Certification


-CCIE (Routing and Switching)


-Must be willing/able to work OCONUS for minimum of one year


-3 + years of experience supporting geographically dispersed networks


-6 + years of experience supporting complex networks and network Infrastructure


-Be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Required:

-Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Tandberg CODIAC MCU, Wide Area Voice Environment (WAVE), Unified Command, Control and Communications (UC3), Spyder Video Processor, and Cisco Meeting Place.


-Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve the most complex problems
