Property Book Officer - SOC - Hawthorne, NV



This position is for a Property Book Officer for the Hawthorne Army Depot in Hawthorne Nevada.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain the HWAD and SOC Nevada, LLC. Property Book and continually update its contents consisting of approximately 22,000 line items in various categories, i.e., AUV, MHE, Railroad, Construction, IPE, and OPE.

  • Receive and review all equipment requirements. Prepare equipment request packages for purchase or in-house fabrication. Prepare all appropriate documentation for acquisition, receipt and transfer to accountable records.

  • Maintain General Ledger accounts by building and by special categories. Maintain location of equipment utilizing a move order system and an automated property record.

  • Manage and direct cyclic inventories of personnel property. Investigate discrepancies in inventory records. Prepare relief from responsibility reports and adjust the records when discrepancies are resolved.

  • Prepare reports for Contracting Agency, Company officials, and Taxing Agencies as appropriate including Request for Relief from Responsibility for all damaged or missing property.

  • Provide guidance, when required, to the Property Technician. Must be able to operate computer connected terminal device. Responsible for reporting potential real environmental concerns to the Environmental Service.

  • Qualifications:

    EDUCATION: A.S. /A.A. in Real Estate, Business Practices or related field, or an equivalent combination of Education and experience. Specialized Supply training highly desirable.


    EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years experience in equipment management or property control.
