AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan for a SR HR Generalist on the MOSC-A contract. The Generalist administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel Prepares and maintains POPs, SOPs, WIs and Forms. Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel. Maintain records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Conducts new-employee orientations and demobilization. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from OneSource. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned. Employee Relations: Provides guidance to all level of employees and senior management company and governmental rules, regulations and the need for compliance. Evaluates and resolves work-related problems that adversely affect morale, health and productivity. Investigates employee complaints, prepares case reports and makes recommendations to resolve issues. Investigates hotline calls and assists corporate on sensitive matters. Benefits Administration:Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, life, and medical.Maintains and monitors dental, accident and disability insurance for the contract. Enters data into HRIS system ensuring the accuracy of information. Administers CENTCOM annual physical requirements. Processes new hire status change and termination paperwork. Contract Support: Prepares, maintains and distributes employee contracts (new & renewal).
Maintain database and notifies management of performance appraisals.) Maintains employee files in the HR filing system. Handles all aspects of performance appraisal maintenance and notification. Processes theater wide leave requests
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.
5+ years of human resources or relevant experience, is required.

Must have intermediate knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and intermediate math.

Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion Must be able to identify conflicts of interest as they relate to employment situations.

Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
