(AFG) Facility Systems Technician - Senior

Facility Systems Technician – Intermediateto support our mission critical customer in Afghanistan.
The Facility Systems Technician – Intermediate will:
- Performs design, modification, maintenance and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls, air quality monitoring systems located within U.S.-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
- Provides technical support in maintaining the unique security requirements inherent in U.S. TOP SECRET SCIF operations including sound baffling techniques/equipment and the mitigation of compromising electrical currents, as well as the requirement for high system availability rates.
- Applies DoD quality assurance procedures in organizing and posting data collected relative to SCIF air quality, NBC/CBR detection, inside/outside environmental conditions, and to determine environmental systems and other support systems use and status.
- Uses a unique special purpose computerized accounting system operating on the station’s Collateral LAN (Secret).
- Acts as the Commander’s representative on all facility engineering projects requiring technical analysis of environmental support system issues, with special emphasis on evaluating the impact of proposed design changes on unique state-of-the-art IEW equipment employing new scientific technologies.
- Produces classified written technical reports outlining technical findings and recommendations.Provides design, emergency non-routine maintenance and repair of smoke removal systems, fire detection/suppression equipment and sheet metal ductwork used exclusively in critical, highly classified U.S. Military Forces SCIFs.
- Performs complex system and subsystem diagnostics and preventive maintenance services, calibration, and lubrication of HVAC components and controls that are used to provide and monitor precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies.Utilizes, services and calibrates state-of-the-art computerized data collection equipment to monitor and evaluate environmental areas surrounding operational IEW systems.
- Interfaces with SCIF operations personnel to evaluate the impact of environmental changes on IEW equipment performance.
- Produces classified reports outlining findings utilizing computerized database and spreadsheet programs including Current Microsoft Office Professional Products.
- Performs periodic, worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical SCIF and mobile facility environments.
- Performs all related job duties in a 24-hour operational environment and with limited documentation resources.
- Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid diagnosis and repair of environmental factors affecting electronic IEW system performance.
Qualified candidates must possess and active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience required.
**Immediately available for temporary deployment**to world-wide U.S. Army INSCOM locations to perform QRC/RRC technical support to intelligence operations in SCIF environments. Fielding, integration, training, performance of complex system and subsystem diagnostics, and maintenance and repair of tactical and strategic heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and their electrical and electronic support systems.
* Experience in design, installation and sustainment of computer controlled environmental systems in mobile secure facilities.
* A detailed understanding of U.S. TOP SECRET / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security requirements and their application to electronic equipment, written report classification and data communications protection.
Education:
- No Degree Required.
- Related electrician licensing is preferred.
Qualified candidates must possess and active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
