Title: Pre-Sales Product Specialist IV

Position Summary


Leads product demonstrations, value propositions and represents/promotes products internally and externally. Supports potential customer engagements and identifies product strategy to meet their needs. Supports or advises the adjustments to product capabilities and strategy to meet financial targets.


Essential Functions:


  • Conducts customer engagements (e.g., on-site meetings, telecons, customer visits, conferences) as directed by business development lead.

  • Supports sales campaigns with product demonstrations and value discussions. Analyzes customer business process to identify product mix that best meets their needs. Facilitates product implementation into customer business processes. Maintains positive customer relationships.

  • Assists the creation and maintenance of business requirements and product roadmap. Works with other product managers, engineering and Company management to prioritize requirements. Works closely with development staff to ensure functional requirements are met. Leads the acceptance activity of the product.

  • Presents internal organizational training on new major functionality. Works with product marketing to develop value propositions and product promotions.

  • Promotes and represents product to key Company stakeholders, customer and industry events.

  • Works closely with key stakeholders on proposals that affect business case. Adjusts product capabilities and strategy to maintain financial commitments.

  • Leads analysis of metrics and customer business processes.

  • Presents business case to key stakeholders.

  • Supports the creation of the product strategy, concepts and new capabilities. Analyzes data about competing products and marketplace dynamics.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Typical Education and/ or Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Experience for this position:


  • Sales engineer experience with software products

  • Sales engineer experience with aerospace and defense industry
