Cleared American Guard (CAG)

PGI has full time opportunities for cleared and experienced Cleared American Guards. Positions are located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Duties-
The Cleared American Guard (CAG) will perform access control functions at all vehicle and pedestrian entrances to the site, throughout the construction or project period. These activities include but are not limited to:

• Screening all non-cleared workers, vehicles, and equipment entering or exiting the site.


• Denying introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other items as specified by the Accrediting Official (AO) or designee.


• Conducting random inspections of all site areas to ensure no prohibited materials have been brought on to the site. All suspicious materials or incidents shall be brought to the attention of the SSM or CST.


• Monitoring any non-cleared Guards provided by the construction company and approved by the AO.

The CAGs shall maintain and operate the Secure Storage Area (SSA) established by the construction company within the construction site footprint where they will store construction materials and equipment that will be used in the SCIF area. lAW ICD/ICS 705.

Selection and Employment Criteria :

• Must be a U.S. Citizen


• Must possess or be able to possess a U.S. Government Secret (S) clearance.


• Must have at least 4 years of honorable military service or have been honorably discharged due to combat related injuries prior to completion of a 4 year enlistment (Active Duty or Reserve)


• Must be able to work a consistent full time or part time guard schedule


• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite

Desired Skillsets:

• Service in Iraq or Afghanistan in a combat, force protection, or military police military occupational specialty


• Active U.S. Government Secret (S) clearance

Applicant must be able to complete the following tasks:

• Able to stand for 8 hours (with breaks)


• Able to work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold


• Able to bend forward at the waist and knees


• Able to walk up to one half mile across uneven surfaces of a construction site


• Able to lift up to 20 pounds


• Able to visually inspect site personnel for appropriate credentials


• Able to visually and physically inspect bags, vehicles, and various containers
