Edgesource is seeking an Authorization & Accrediation Lead to support our team at Patrick Airforce Base. The United States Department of State, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office of Aviation (INL/A), interchangeably referred to as DOS Air Wing, provides aviation support for the eradication and interdiction of illicit drugs, training of contractor and host nation personnel, movement of personnel and equipment, reconnaissance, personnel recovery (PR), medical evacuation, security of personnel and equipment, and ferrying of aircraft. Current locations of performance are in Central Florida, Colombia, Cyprus, Malta, Panama, Peru, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq. However, it is anticipated that performance may extend into other worldwide locations and the contractor(s) must be able to quickly extend operations to new locations on short notice, for limited or long term duration. Recent examples of such include Kenya, Sudan, Rota, Honduras, Libya, and Egypt. Edgesource, under this Information Technology Services (ITS) contract, provides Information Management (IM) support, an enterprise-wide, web-based reporting system, and full life cycle management of information systems to include unclassified communications, data processing, and computer systems. However, new missions, locations, and requirements may be added.
Job Description:
The Authorization and Accreditation Lead is responsible for all system accreditation functions required for Department of State (DoS) systems operated on the INL network. The ability to maintain authorization and accreditation (A&A) documentation is a core aspect of this position, a strong level of NIST and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) proficiency is required. This includes ensuring the development and maintenance of all System Security Plans IAW NIST and DOS directives. The A&A Lead serves as a single point of contact for accreditation functions on the contract. The incumbent must be detailed oriented and able to communicate with various levels of management with relation to the system accreditation process. This position must have a working knowledge of various network and security platforms to allow open communications with SME’s regarding posture of the network. The Authorization and Accreditation Lead reports directly to the Cyber Security Lead.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of NIST, FIPS, FISMA, FAH, and FAM directives as it pertains to Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) of information systems.
Ability to interface with department leads, and key personnel regarding A&A process.
Coordinates the mitigation of risks/issues discovered in the A&A process, including Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) management.
Ability to develop and maintain various documents that include: System Security Plan (SSP), Contingency Plan, Risk Assessment, Business Impact Assessment, Privacy Impact Assessment, etc.
Experience with various audits and maintaining system Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:
The position requires at least 5 years of Authorization and Accreditation experience on federal information systems.
Active Secret-level national security clearance.
A Bachelor’s Degree or a total of 5 years relevant experience.
5 years of information assurance experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, presentations, reports, and spreadsheets.
Strong written and verbal communications skills in English.
Excellent customer support skills.
Strong technical writing experience specifically in Information Assurance and how it relates to the network.
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
