Summary:
The Audio Visual (AV) Engineer II is responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of all Audio/Visual equipment, Video Teleconference (VTC) equipment in support of the Ministry of Interior Network Operations Center/Joint Operations Center (MoI NOC/JOC) compound in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)
·Supervise staff of up to three AV Engineers
·Develop and enforce AV procedures IAW government and local policies
·Must be able to complete and supervise:
o Installation and troubleshooting basic audio/visual equipment
o Installation and troubleshooting VTC equipment
o Set up systems in new locations, as required
o Assist with trouble calls
·Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience: (or equivalent)
·Associates Degree in AV-related discipline
·Demonstrated exceptional problem solving skills
·Excellent communication and customer service skills
·Able to troubleshoot platform performance in a virtualized environment
·Able to maintain a safety conscious work environment
License & Certifications:
CTS (I) Certification a plus
Knowledge & Skills:
·Minimum three year experience as Audio Visual Engineer supervisor
·Able to follow directions and verbal orders with minimal supervision
·Able to follow advanced step-by-step procedures
·Fluent in English (reading and speaking)
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
·Physically fit to stand and bend for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
·Use of appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) may be mandatory
·Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
·Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Travel:Up to 33% (potential)
Security Clearance:No clearance required
